Shri Mahendra Kumar Rekhi

Managing Directior and CEO SBI Foundation

Shri. Mahendra Kumar Rekhi assumed charge of SBI Foundation as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer on 10th April 2017.

A Post Graduate in Commerce, Shri Rekhi joined the Bank as Probationary Officer in the year 1984. Presently he is spearheading SBI Foundation, a CSR arm of SBI. Prior to his present assignment, he worked as General Manager (Social Media) & General Manager (Corporate Communication & Change Management). During his stint as General Manager (Social Media & Marketing) Bank’s social media presence got due fillip in as much as it is now the No. 1 Brand in the world among Banks using social media as per the Financial Brand’s Power 100 Ranks – Banks Q 1 2017. During his long career of 34 years in the Bank, he has held many challenging assignments, which include Banking operations, Development Sector, Corporate Communication and other assignments as below:

Dy. General Manager (PR) - Shri Rekhi was adjudged as one of the top 5 CMOs of the country for two consecutive years, 2013 and 2014 by IAA (International Advertising Association). As a career Banker, he gained experience in various facets of Banking like Large Corporate Credits, Retail Operations, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, SME Advances etc.

Asst. General Manager- LCPC, Noida- Front-led over 3500 branches chequebook maintenance and account opening functions, entailing 20% of the total branches of the bank in the country at that time with a team of 600 staff members working under one roof.

Regional Manager- (Retail Loan Portfolio), Ghaziabad| Asst. General Manager- (SMECCC), Dehradun |Asst. General Manager- (Tourism and Agriculture), Dehradun.

CSR is very close to his heart and he always strives for the welfare of the less fortunate & underprivileged in unreached areas of the Country.

Shri Nixon Joseph

President and COO, SBI Foundation

Shri Nixon Joseph joined SBI as a probationary officer in 1985. Worked extensively in Corporate credit and International Banking verticals of the Bank. Was Chief executive officer of SBI Tokyo branch. Just before his present assignment as Vice President, SBI Foundation was the Regional Manager of Shillong, Meghalaya. He is a certified credit officer and Certified Banking compliance professional. He has completed 26 full marathons (42.195km) becoming the only public sector banking official with such a record. He is the recipient of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Award 2018 for professional excellence.

Shri Mukesh Srivastava

Chief Financial Officer, SBI Foundation

Shri Mukesh Srivastava, a Post Graduate in Sociology and a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB), is a seasoned banker with 30+ years of experience in various facets of Banking in State Bank of India. His assignments in the Bank span across Rural Banking, Retail Banking, International Banking and SME Finance.

Before assuming the charge of Chief Financial Officer at SBI Foundation, he was heading State Bank RASMEC Karkardooma at New Delhi. Coming from a humble background, CSR is close to his heart and his aim is to reach the unreached underprivileged to make an impact in their lives that is long lasting and sustainable.
