It was day filled with glamour and glitter as 15 girls from a Mission Education centre in Mumbai walked the ramp with some prominent names from Bollywood to create awareness about the importance of education of girls. The girls learnt to take on the ramp from the best of the best as celebrities like Isha Koppikar and Deepika Singh also walked for the cause.
A health check-up camp was organized on the 30 of March 2019 for school children from a school in Telengana. The school serves as a remedial educational centre for Mission Education. 217 school children from the school were benefited during the program.
It is important for teachers to always be innovative to inspire and motivate students to work hard in the classroom and after school as well. Special training for innovative teaching practices is one way to achieve the same.
National Girl Child Day is celebrated to encourage people to give equal opportunities to girl child regarding education, healthcare, nutrition etc. Smile Foundation celebrated National Girl Child Day on the 24th of January 2019 at all the Mission Education centre across the country by engaging in various activities like poster making, painting around the theme of girl child, female feticide, lack of equal opportunities, child-marriage etc.
